Women’s Fall Bible Study

David: Seeking a Heart Like His (Updated Edition) by Beth Moore

God will never give up on you. Explore how David’s life proves this promise to be true in this 11-session, video small group Bible study. In this examination of the “man after God’s own heart,” David will delight and disappoint you. You’ll want to be just like him at times and nothing like him at others. If you’ve ever experienced doubts, temptations, losses, family problems, or personal inconsistencies, this study is for you!

Weekly downloadable video sessions will be emailed to you each week. Opportunities for weekly small group discussions will take place over Zoom (see link in registration).

VIRTUALLY | Wednesdays, 7:00-8:15 PM | Sept. 9 – Nov. 18

About the Thursday AM Study

DISCIPLINE. Maybe discipline seems like a hard word to you—implying nothing but challenge and duty. Yet most of us see the value in cultivating spiritual disciplines, and we long to be more consistent in our relationship with God, even in the midst of our busy lives.

Combining biblical teaching, poignant stories, and insightful reflection questions, Barbara Hughes explores 15 vital disciplines in this classic book—helping us to mature as godly Christian women and giving meaningful shape to our lives.

Christmas Eve 2019!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, December 24, 5:00 and 6:30 PM as we take a journey back in time to the streets of the Victorian era. A place where presents surround the rich, but something much richer surrounds the poor.

What is that you ask? The presence of a King. Presents… Presence. Two letters can change it all. Which will you cherish? Which will you seek?

Invite your friends and family for these special services.

Adult Christian Education » WINTER 2019-2020 Classes

Classes meet Sundays at 10 AM, starting December 8, 2019, and continuing through March 1, 2020.

The book of Acts provides a bridge for the writings of the New Testament. As a second volume to Luke’s Gospel, it joins what Jesus “began to do and to teach” as told in the Gospels, with what he continued to do and teach through the apostles’ preaching and the establishment of the church. It supplies an account of the life of Paul from which we can learn the setting for his letters. Geographically, its story spans the lands between Jerusalem, where the church began, and Rome, the political center of the empire. Historically, it recounts the first 30 years of the church. The theme in the words of Jesus: “You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth” (Acts 1:8).

Dynamic Devotions

This interactive and fellowship-based class is aimed at encouraging and equipping God’s people with very practical tools for their own devotions and Bible Study. We want to hear God’s fresh and powerful voice in the pages of Scripture, and see how His truth written centuries ago is exactly what we need today. We want to help bridge the gap between the world of the Bible and our world today.

We serve a loving, omniscient, omnipotent God! The better we can grasp that fact, the stronger our faith can be. Our loving, omniscient, omnipotent God created the entire universe including us! In this class, we will explore questions like: What do the Scriptures say? What sciences support these Scriptures? What concepts can we learn to strengthen our faith and share with others?

Parenting is a wonderful stewardship God entrusts to adult married couples. Parenting can be the most rewarding pleasure, while at other times it can be one of the most heartbreaking experiences. But most Christians with empty nests will attest that parenting was the most joyous years of their lives.

We want to find direction and encouragement from the pages of God’s Word. We will consider the various stages of child development in the life of a child. A word of encouragement will be added too for single parent homes. Join us as we embark and share on the role of parenting children.
